Owner Ricc Bieber has spent his life in the construction, manufacturing and contracting arenas, growing up as the third generation of Bieber Fluorescent Light Products in Inglewood, CA, a lighting and contracting business that was started on his grandfather's kitchen table in 1929. He started out literally at the bottom, and went up through the ranks, picking up stray nuts and bolts at the converted chicken coups (the original family business) and learning fixture assembly, welding, and other associated aspects of the manufacturing process.
Over 40 years ago, Ricc started his journey into being an electrician by going to jobsites with his father and the crews. He started as a teenage apprentice, working with the crews on electrical construction jobs around Southern California. Over the years, as his experience grew, he eventually became a construction supervisor for the re-named Bieber Lighting Corporation. Meanwhile he completed his formal educatio, working his way through at Santa Monica College, UCLA and Chapman College at night while working jobs for his father during the day. At age 32, he received his own California State Contractors License.
Ricc then served as president of B & D Contractors and Pageant Outdoor Lighting Equipment, former contracting subsidiaries of Bieber Lighting. Later he became an officer and then president of Bieber Lighting Corporation until his father finally retired ans sold the company.
Realizing there remained a great need for lighting experience and service in the lighting inductry, Ricc formed Bieber Lighting Consultants. Since it's inception, BLC has continued to serve his father's old customers, but also he has picked up many many more clients through his own hard work and referrals.
In 2008, BLC formed a new subsidiary company, Greenworks Energy, which focuses on creating "green energy" and promoting power to everyone through solar and wind power generation, as well as water conservation methods. Ricc and his team invite you to become part of the future but having your existing systems analyzed and upgrading to more efficient (and cheaper) technologies where needed.
For over forty years, Ricc has provided outdoor lighting and electrical services, energy consulting, and installing green technologies, and always with a smile. Bieber Lighting Consultants look forwards to serving you soon!
